2. Brewer is one tough cookie but he has hands of stone.

3. It is a treat to watch Paul Kariya skate.

4. Didnt notice Jay McKee too much.

5. Legace was outstanding!

6. Shout out to Jamal, again!
Not even on that Tkachuk tip in?

I thought Wagner struggled a bit tonight. 1st game back, maybe. Tkachuk had a solid game (even without his two goals). "RJ" did a nice job throwing his weight around. EJ had a nice hit (about time!). I thought Legace looked a little shaky at times, however overall was still solid.

I thought Jackman brought Wagner down as his partner.

As I said earlier, that 2nd goal was all Jackman's fault...I believe the 1st was as Jax fault as well....but my kid distracted me, so I could be wrong on the 1st one.

Tkachuck played pretty well (besides his 2 goals). It just goes to show once again how a little confidence, like scoring a goal or two, brings out the best in a person.

Agree with all of your post. TK really played with a little fire in his belly, I sure hope it's a portent. I like him playing with Backes. Good 1-2 punch.

I definitely left out the part about Jax looking disinterested tonight.

Hehe. This is the kind of post I like to see from fans of the opposition.

1. Mayers, Stempniak, Salvador, and pretty much the whole team worked their balls off. I love when Mayers gets some open ice and either gets a big slapper away going up the wing or tries for a wrap-around.

2. Brewer whacked the hell out of Tlusty and played a pretty tough game. He seems to be picking it up and I'm diggin' it. His hands could be better - and of course when you compare them to, say, Kaberle, stone is fair. But I'd say he has better than average hands.

3. Kariya is a great skater, but he uses it to best effect when skating right into coverage and coughing up the puck. That's when he stands out the most.

4. McKee was the one who wired that nice pass to Tkachuk for the second goal. He and EJ did a good job of getting the puck out of the Blues' zone, so they weren't handling the puck nearly as much as the other two pairings.

I seen Wags drop to a knee and land on Legace's pad. It looked like Jax bumped him into Legace. Walt was a stud tonight. Hopefully he can do this a lot more and end up pulling in another rental trade. lol

No mention of the nearly 30th of the year for Boyes. Played a solid game and had plenty of support at the game.

I thought it was the 29th?

I didn't know Walt was named after a player from the 70s...
