My father inroduce me to hockey in 1986 when the Habs went to the finals against Calgary and won the cup. At that time I was 7 years old so I don't remember alot about that series but I know it brought me to love my Canadiens.

late 70's early 80's...I was born the year my team last won the cup. I liked Boston because I was like 4 0r 5 and didn't know any better . My father was a bruins fan so I used to watch games with him, untill I met Tim Kerr when I was 10 and have been a flyer fan ever since. For some reason the first game I can remember seeing was an Oiler 11-10 victory over the leafs (ah 80's hockey when the over and under was 12 1/2).

Since the 1958-59 season. My father was a Leafs fan and my mother cheered for the Habs which made for lively family discussions.

The Leafs made the play-offs that year after finishing last the year before. Punch Imlach had taken over as assistant GM and fired Coach Billy Reay one month into the season taking over as coach. He promised the Leafs would make the play-offs and they did as the Rangers lost their last three games and the Leafs won their last three to edge them out. Imlach had brought in a career minor league goalie, Johny Bower and would install him as a starter. By 1962 the Leafs won the first of three cups in a row and would win their last in 1967.

I avidly followed the Leafs in their glory years of the 1960's until finally being turned off by the antics of Harold Ballard and the trading of popular players like Lanny MacDonald. The last straw for me was the treatment of Darryl Sittler and his ultimate trade on January 20, 1982. I have cheered against the Leafs from that day forward and wish them always the worst of luck - of course the fact that they now have Pat Quinn there makes it even easier.

I've been watching hockey, apparently religiously since 1982...oddly enough, the Canucks went to the finals that year, and I would always wake up, at least according to my parents when the Canucks were about to play....ever since then...I do everything in my power to listen or watch games....

highlight would easily be the 94 finals... but so much hockey...hockey is life....life is hockey

I didn't take much of an interest in hockey until the plans of the Nashville Predators came into fruition. Being the sports fan I am I decided to take an interest in the new club.

So, in my years as a Preds fan, seeing the franchise grow gradually, I'm psyched about them finally making the playoffs.

I remember driving home from my Grandparents after the Flyers won their first Cup in 1974 and everyone was honking their horns and such. I really got into hockey big time when the Flyers got Mike Keenan in 1984-85 season and they went to the FInals. I've been a pessimist ever since, with each year getting worse. This year I fully expect the Devils to beat the Flyers just because they are the Devils. They could ice a team of chimps and still beat the Flyers, just because they are the Devils...it's what they do best.

I'll be 19 right away here and I really started following hockey in the '94 playoffs, that was one awesome playoff year, and I followed ever since. Needless to say being a Flame fan has sucked since then

Ever since I got my first pack of hockey cards, in the 1991-1992 season, I was 6. I still think I have a few of those actual cards in one of my trunks (I have MANY hockey cards).

Lucky for me, the Panthers came around just a season later, and I was a happy kid!

Anyway, I became "knowledgable" after I got NHL 95 for SEGA Genesis, still one of the better hockey games of all time. I think that was the season where it was all Federov.

I became "very knowledgeable" after I started reading HFboards.com in the summer of 2002!!!

Since I was born (my dad would park me near the Television when the games were on), with my earliest memories being about 74-75. I knew every player (name and number) on the Stanley Cup champion Philly Flyers when just barely past my second birthday.

I have raised my kids the same way.

I vaguely remember watching some games on NBC during the days of Peter Puck, but I really started watching a lot of hockey when I entered prep school in Massachusetts in 1981. Back then, every Bruins game was on Channel 38(with Fred Cusick and Johnny Peirson, the original Czar of the Telestrator). I got hooked on Ray Bourque, Brad Park and Terry O'Reilly, and I'm still watching to this day.

My first NHL game was in 1954, Detroit vs. Chicago at the Olympia. Metro Prysti scored for Detroit and the Wings won. I moved to Boston in 1957 and was a Bruins season ticket holder for many years; Sec. 88, Row C, Seats 6,7. Got a Dish in 1992 and now attend TB Lightning games on occasion.
