Ovechkin's ASG move not impressive......

Ok i give the guy marks for being creative compared to the other guys on the ice, but i got a clean breakaway last night in our friday scrimmage game with the boys, im not that great of a player, ive got good hands and a good shot, but dont have the energy to play hard for a full game. So anyways i lifted the puck over the blue line tapped it twice, sent it straight up do a spin actually bat the puck, but i got all of the puck and it flew off the concrete wall behind the glass and back onto the ice, i wasnt too impressed with the whole skills comp this year, as much as they try to hype it, there was too much skill on that ice too be disappointed like that.

haha so are you better than AO now because you did that? what do you expect these guys to do, there are only so many moves you can make... not easy either when you have goalies like Nabokov coming out to the hashes to poke-check pucks away...

I once flipped the puck up in the air, caught it on my nose, flipped it off my nose, swallowed it whole, stopped in front of the goal and pooped it into the net.

Game winner too!

Ovy's move wasn't anything special but at least he tried it! Compared to everyone else, Ovechkin's whiff was freakin' Cirque de Soleil!

Ever think these players don't have time to practice useless trick shots? Having a good one timer, accurate hard wrist shot and a good slapshot is 1000000x more useful.

jdmef> AO

You should get the maximum for 20 years, no matter what team is lucky enough to land you. Do the negotiation yourself, by the way, no point in anyone getting commissions on your long term contract.

I agree, it wasnt that impressive...

but if he scored on it.

yeah, other people can do it, and it takes an element of luck, but if it goes in its pretty damn cool, and thats pretty much what we're all looking for.

and for the record, everyone who posted in this thread before me is an idiot. the dude isnt trying to say hes better than ovechkin or trying to downplay ovechkin's talent.
