The Wild are leading their division and are currrently cruisin and bruisin. That said, we do the unexpected (as usual) and SHUT THEM DOWN. Jackets 4-1. Can ya smell what the Hitch is cooking?

Why did I think this was a 2pm start? That's a bummer, because I'm gonna miss the game. I made plans with a friend of mine... in Ann Arbor.

Oh well, I'm still driving up there with my jersey on. Go Jackets!

Is anteater going to the game? If so I think the Jackets will pull out the W. Always fun smacking around the Wild, let's have another 5-0 first period like we did a few years ago.

That's 2 games in a row that Pascal will have off.

Tough love.

I will be the first to admit that Pascal has had a ruff couple of games.. but Come on it would not have been the end of the world had pascal got the start .. He is is still 3rd in the NHL in Save % .924 and GAA 2.11 First in shutouts with 8 and 15th in the NHL with wins Tied with Backstrom, Biron, Legace, and Dipietro .. and only 9 wins behind nabby who is in first and has played 13 more games ... Do I have a issue with freddy gettin the start NO I want what is best for the team and Hitch is the coach not me .. But anywhoo .. I Will be in house for this one and at the rbar pre and post game .. Nice GDT Timeless .. LETS GO JACKETS !!!!!

It's probably just perception on my part and not reality, but it seems like every time I watch a game and Norrena is in goal, he gets lit up.

It's not just perception, it's reality.

I was hoping Hitch would ride Pazzy almost every game the rest of the season, that's what stud goalies do, and Leclaire is legit despite a couple iffy games.

The only 2 goalies with a better GAA are the 2 Detroit goalies, and look at the team in front of them compared to the team in front of Pascal, big difference.

Based solely on the quality of Timeless Winter's GDT ...Jackets win 5 to 3.

I fully expected Norrena to get the nod tonight. Goalies go through phases sometimes. Leclaire just doesn't seem to be on his game of late and I don't think playing tonight would be any different. He needs a few games off.

Norrena has not had his best season either but prhaps he will be pumped knowing Hitchcock has faith in him. I'll admit, the importance of tonights game is a ton of pressure to put on his back but he is a veteran. He must be quick and focused tonight, I pray he will be ready.

a bit of both, perhaps. 2.57 GAA (21st) and .905 (30th) aren't bad for a backup goalie. he's received 2.36 goals/game for support, and without that 7 goal effort versus chicago (clearly an outlier), he's at 2.14. tough to win when you get 2 goals a game for support. /shrug

Pazzy gets lit up too.
The thing that bothers me is my perception that our team doesn't play as hard for Freddy No. Seems like they take the night off a little bit.

Hitch has said several times that he wants to "play the hot hand."
Right now, that would be Mason

Steady Freddie will be ready. Let's just hope the rest of the gang shows up as well prepared.

Freddie plays great in a 2-1 Loss.

It seems to be the curse of the CBJ backup goalie to play well when called upon and then not get enough goal support for a W.

I said 2-1 jackets win, and since Walz's isn't on the lineup, I guess there's no way his pants score.

Must win. They don't get any more critical than this. In fact, a loss and the team's status is critical. Just this side of life-support. A measure of this team's heart, I believe. I'm hoping for a good report, for the love of all that's right and good.

For those of you who don't understand why some of us posters hate Minnesota as much as Detroit, I submit yet another example of Minny fan's arrogance:

The way its presented is just so arrogant. A game the Wild "should win", when they've sucked here for their entire existence? "I'd rather be good in all categories, than very bad in some categories like Columbus"? This is Minny fan to a T.
