If JFJ last watched Havelid before the Ozolinsh trade, here's what I'd offer:

Gerber+Havelid for Coliacavo

I'd throw in draft picks too. Not the 9th overall, though, and maybe not the 39th, either.

Perhaps if they were taking heavy doses of crack cocaine.

He's got a clause in his contract that if the Leafs win the Cup, he gets a 1 year extention worth $8,000,000, plus a $1,000,000 bonus.

Colaiacovo is a top 25 prospect in the world... why would the Maple Leafs trade him to Anaheim for a 30 year old goalie who is obviously on his way out... and a 31 year old defenseman that would play a 6/7 role in Toronto?

fact of the matter is that there arent any great goalies available. You have brodeur and belfour that are old enough to be free agents, and kolzig and lalime as secondary players in the same age bracket. Every other top goalie is 25 and under, which means they wont be a free agent anytime soon. With that said, they either have to make a trade, or try and get lalime in free agency. All this of course if Belfour doesnt return, which i have a hard time believing.

Oh yeh, and i know that Brodeur and Kolzig arent free agents, just saying they are in that age bracket.

If belfour doesnt return, they are in a world of hurt next year

have you looked at the free agent market for goalies? you want tommy salo? Ron Tugnutt, Hasek, Osgood, Hedberg, Dafoe, Potvin, Irbe, Sheilds, Garth Snow???
Sean Burke is UFA if the flyers don't pick up his option....see anything in there you can run at a cup with??

Hasek, if he comes back and his groin surgery goes successfully.

do you really want to count on hasek? you never know what you are going to get or for how long. if hasek pulls the same deal he did this year where would you be left. kolzig would be a better option the lalime and he could be had. probably for a 1st and bell or harrison -tell me a better option then kolzig? i don't see one.

this all is obviously a moot point if they can bring back eddie
