Game's not over yet - I wouldn't start celebrating by any stretch. Rule #1 from when I used to umpire baseball: never talk about how good the game is going - it almost always falls apart right after you make that comment.

TP and the H-Breakers are a fine band with some pretty good songs, but they werent entertaining. They just went up there, sang their songs, and it was over, just a very forgettable performance

I can go to youtube or itunes to listen to them play their music well, I wanna be entertained for the Halftime show. It would have been fine if I was at one of their concerts, but you gotta pull out the stops for the Super Bowl.

Good music is entertaining to me. I don't need the side show stuff. If they wanted frills maybe they shouldn't have booked Tom Petty. He did pretty much what I was expecting. The Halftime show used to be full on theatrics until Janet Jackson's left raisin shot that horse in the face

I like good music too, but once every year at the halftime show, I hope they pull out something extra. As previously stated, theres no point for me to stick around for something I can listen to on itunes or watch on youtube any other time of the year.
And they booked Petty because they didnt want frills. You hit the nail on the head, after Janet, Im sure they are handcuffed on what they can or cant show. Even Prince's guitar penis last year probably got a nasty letter from the FCC.

Are you kidding me? Mike Campbell was absolutely frickin' awesome!! Tom's voice might not be what it used to be, but the band was great. Not the spectacle of Prince, but just a A-list rock n' roll band.
Gentelmen, are we missing the point of the superbowl which is the actuall game, which was outstanding, by the way. From now on the halftime entertainment will be10-15 yrs. outdated. Im looking forward to 2016 SB halftime which will be featuring Staind
