1. It's "Jusso" Riksman...
2. Are you confident that the Blues will place Junland in Peoria this year, or do you see him going back to Sweden for another year? I'd love to see him in Peoria, myself...
3. I really like the Peoria lineup you've got posted here. I think it has the right mix of veterans and kids, and a lot of scoring potential up and down the lineup. The defense looks very strong, too, and the goaltending should be first-rate.
4. There are a ton of "Others" whom you did not list -- Perron, Fairchild, Palushaj, Hjalmarsson, Sonne, Peluso, Berra, Turek, Sackrison, McCollem, Erstad, Nill, Skachkov, Alexandrov, Barulin.
The Blues do still hold the rights to the last three, along with Pervyshin and Semin, yes? Pervyshin clearly has the talent to be a North American pro, but his size will absolutely work against him. Semin is essentially a non-entity; Skachkov would have joined Semin on the "non-entity" list if he hadn't shown up for the Prospect Camp, and shown me enough to be mildly interested.
5. What's the situation with Shishkanov? I know you said earlier that the Blues have yanked the contracts of Shkotov and Zakharov, but is Shishkanov still part of the organ-I-zation in some way?
1. You're a mod here ... you can update things as needed, too.
2. As mentioned in the 2nd line ... it's still "under construction" ... feel free to help out. In fact, I whole-heartedly encourage you to help out with your extensive knowledge of the Blues prospects!
3. Shishkanov is still property of the Blues - he sits on their Reserve List (maximum 90 players ... don't recall exactly how many are on it but we can leave him there until he turns 27 and becomes UFA and not worry about it) but just doesn't have a contract.
2. Are you confident that the Blues will place Junland in Peoria this year, or do you see him going back to Sweden for another year? I'd love to see him in Peoria, myself...
It was clearly stated by both Junland and his agent that he will play at least on more year in Sweden. This was appearently something that Junland, his Swedish team and the Blues all agreed on. Also the Blues can't really do anything until he decides to give playing in NA a shot.
By the way, I expect him to get a lot of time on the ice this year... especially if you consider his current teams lack of offensive d-men for the moment.
I wonder if P_B or IB might make a few changes to that roster above, removing Cajanek and Bacashihua and including Perron and Mike Johnson and Wagner. If you deem it worth your time.

Reason: accuracy counts, especially in a mod's abbreviation
I think JD and Pleau should not resign Rucinsky,
Salvador, Ryan Johnson and Mike Johnson.
That accounts for about 5 million or so.
Combine that with the amount we won't have to pay Riksman and Cajanek.
And the amount we would have to pay Erik Johnson if he meets all of his incentives.
Which he probably will not meet all of the incentives in order to make the 3.7M....
Plus the salary cap will rise for next season.
Long story made shorter is that the Blues will have plenty of cap room and flexibility.
I think the Blues need to bring back Weight for one more season because we'll have another big influx of youngsters in 2008.
When the time is right the Blues need to tender Boyes for at least 3-3.25M per season for 3 years. Maybe more.
Sign Backes for 1.5M per season (including incentives) for 2-3 years.
Sign McClement for 1.1M for next season only. He needs to prove himself.
That leaves Toivonen and Jackman as my other priority Blues deals.
Sign Toivonen, but I have no idea for how much the Blues should sign him??!!???
I don't think The Blues can afford to sign Weight for another year. They'd have to pay him at least $2 million, or he'd be insulted. He just can't cut it as a centre anymore. He could play on The Blues' 3rd scoring line as a LW, and be a decent bargain at $1 million. But I can't see that deal happening.
But, I think I'd rather see them spend a little more, and get a significantly younger player who will skate faster, hit more consistently, and produce more scoring. I think Weight is where Drake was last year. He's okay at 12 minutes a game, with some games off. Maybe he'll want to play those minutes with another team, or even play more than that with a talent-weak team,-or maybe decide to retire. He still has flashes of spark and energy, but also periods of tiredness.
I see what you're saying about the amount we'd have to pay Weight. 2M for one more season is reasonable. 2M is about what I was thinking. My reasoning is that we need to bring along the young ones with some veteran, skilled-forward leadership and the Blues don't have much. We've got Tkachuk and Kariya. And Mayers is respected, but not a skill guy. Same with Hinote.
Weight is not only respected, but is a skill player (even though he has lost his legs a bit, he still has one more good season left).
I am rethinking my McClement deal/idea and think he should be offered not 1.1M for one year, because that makes no sense at all. How about 1M per for two seasons?
Trade Jackman before or at deadline
Trade/NO resign Rucinsky
Do not resign Mike Johnson
Give extensions to Ryan Johnson and Salvador
Tender qualifying offers to Toivy, Boyes, Backes, Mcclement..etc
Sign Oshie/Duncan
Let Drazenovic, Lemtyugov, Linglet, Talbot, berglund, Polak, Wagner, Hellstrom, schwarz all have a chance to crack roster or push players out
