new stick(PLEASE REPLY ASAP)

I just broke a Vapor XXXX in my game today. It split right down the middle of the bottom of the blade. After the game, I got the One90 grip for $140./it is a junior 52 flex:These are the questions I have

1.Has anybody else broken a Vapor XXXX in the same spot?(just curious because my friend also broke his in the exact same spot

2.Is the One90 grip a good stick? list the pros/cons

3.Did I pay too much or did I get a good deal?

this is why you're better off with cheaper sticks. the only reason the pros use those things is because they're NOT paying for them.

I have a one90. I love it. After a while it becomes very whippy. Great for writs shots. I love it

All I believe I know is the One90 is a shooter's stick and the XXXX is more all around (not to take anything away from it but I believe it's better for handling). Both are quality.

Pretty sure the One90's taper is different than the xxxx's, but not 100% positive.

Both Sticks are from the top Brand of Nike Bauer Hockey... the XXXX-Stick is a development of the XXX-Series... The One90 is the Top-Stick of the Supreme-Series... i play the old xxx-serie, and this stick is just awsome... but i heard from others that they got some problems with the blade... but they repaird the blade with the srs-system, and after that it works fine...

First question, how old are you? 52 flex leads me to believe you are on the younger side, which is fine. At younger ages, the biggest differences in sticks is the weight. The One90 is a fantastic stick from intermediate (67 flex) and up. At junior flexes you might be better off saving some money on a stick and going with better padding or skates.

One90 is desinged for slap shots as it has a higher kick-point. It's very durable and the blade is stiff. The cons are that is is not as efficient for wrist shots as the XXXX or XXX.

Hopefully I'll still have my contacts so I can get freebies, but if I don't it's wood or combos till they're at least pee-wees.

It is also quite possible that by then the price of composites will have gone down significantly. This is already starting to happen in the low-mid range. The high-end sticks will always be very pricey.

neither did my parents and thats why i pay for mine haha. Oh and the one90 i bought when i was still moved back to D. Now back on O i find it is great for quick snap shots. I dont know if my wrister isnt as good because of the stick or the fact that i broke my wrist and it healed a year ago this month(fractured my growth plate too)

Playing varsity with jr flexes I'd be worried about slashes snapping my stick in half. Best of luck.

hm...I use the int. (im 14 playing bantam B) easton cnt but i have used my frinds vapor XXXX and the one90 and it was much easier for me to get my snap shot off quciker and harder with the XXXX and i didn't like the feel of the one90 but i know a few kids on my team that like the one90 alot. OH and $140 for it is a great deal even for junior. The int. was $210 here (canada)

Int. should hold up. I mean, Phil Kessel uses intermediate sticks.

Nothing wrong with intermediate, if you weigh 150 than go with flex 75.
