Ellis in net according to Tennesseean:

Well there goes the shutout and get next start rule. If we lose, Trotzy gave us bad mojo again hehe

Go Preds

Another huge game tonight. Vinny vs Legwand in the battle of the 1998 first round

I personally really don't like Trotz starting Ellis tonight. Had Mace not got a shutout I would understand, but this is the 2nd time Trotz has gone against the shutout rule and in this instance it could disrupt things. Unless Mason went to the staff and told them to let Ellis go I really feel like he got the wrong end of the stick on this one. How are you supposed to be the #1 if you can't get a start after you post a shutout? To me, starting Ellis tonight and saying it is due to a rotation signals that there is no true #1 yet.

We played like crap. The only line worth anything on this team is the Dumont - Arnott - Radulov line. Putting scrubs with Legwand makes this a 1 line team.....

Our defense was picked apart tonight....

Legwand has never been able to carry anything offensively. If he's not playing on the first line with Kariya, he's a 40 point player.

Joking, but not by much.

I disagree. Legwand isn't Peter Forsberg. He can't take 4th line offensive players, and turn them into .75 ppg players.

I was told that over a third of the team was fighting the flu bug. That could explain the very sluggish play in the 2nd and 3rd.

Bah I told you so... bad mojo lol

Oh well, we played like crap especially in the 2nd, we should be thankful for the point and we are still in 7th and move on.

Next stretch is tuff though... @SJ, @PHX, DET

May go on a losing streak

I wish I had known going into the game that half of the guys were playing with the flu. It would have made that 2nd period less maddening.

At least some other teams lost and helped us not to fall in the standings.

Nice game by the RAD line.

Outplayed after the first period. And even though we didn't deserve the one point, I'm very happy we got it.
