Is everyone OK????

I'm a Macon county native. My parents house was less than 2 miles from Pumping station that exploded, luckily their house suffered minor damage. My Uncle, aunt and cousin (best man at my wedding) lost everything, but kept the most important thing. I was up late last night talking with my sister trying to get information on family members. Other than the aforementioned everyone else is OK but some family friends died in the disaster. Even though I moved to Crossville 4 years ago my home will alway be in Green grove. I used to post as Maconpred on the NP site. Please think of everyone affected in this to close to home tragedy. May God bless everyone.

In the aftermath of last nights damaging storms through Middle Tennessee and surrounding areas, the Nashville Predators are teaming up with the American Red Cross Tornado Relief Fund. Starting today, tickets bought for the game tomorrow night, half the proceeds will be donated back to the Tornado Relief Fund. Lets fill the arena and raise some money for a great cause and help those who lost last night.

To order tickets you can call me at 615-770-7819 and i (Jason Mott - Head of Ticket Sales) will assist you.

Please pass this along to everyone you know.

Hope everyone is OK.

I could see the fire in Hendersonville. I saw an orange glow in the distance on the way home but just thought it was the lights reflecting in the low clouds. But there is usually no lights over that way and later I heard about the fire and realized what it was.

The second tornado that came through H'ville came north of the bypass (thankfully I'm south of it) and the whole time the storm was moving by it was just nonstop lightning.

I was wondering what they would do at the games if something like that did happen, I guess now I know. I think the Preds people did a good job. Everyone was calm and kept things very orderly. I had no problem standing around for a few extra minutes. But it was weird walking outside and the tornado sirens started going off again.

But isn't it amazing that the worst tornado started down by the Alabama border and had a continuous path of distruction up to Metro Nashville and then touched down again in Sumner County and continued up into Kentucky.

**The Preds will also be taking donations along with the ticket sales so if you already have tix you can still help out.

Predators to Donate $20,000 to Tornado Relief

I found these pictures of the storm coming through downtown on Ch2 weather site.

Lightning reflecting in the Encore. We can see the other side of The Encore from the SC, the Country Music HOF is across the street from this condo.

This is some cranes downtown, that's the symphony hall in the front (SC on the other side) to give you some direction. Note their positions in this picture.

Same cranes, now note their positions from the picture above. And no that's not the tornado, it's a rain band.
