Emery vs Lehtonen (the bet)

A bet I made with mmlhc, who didn't post here since august (well, I guess he'll be back if he wins, and not if he doesn't). As of now, its looking like a really interesting race. The bet stands if both goalers play 45 games or more and the winner is whoever has more points with this equation:

Quote:
- 0,5 pts per .001 of s% (for example, if Lehtonen finishes with .927 and Emery with .924, it gives me 1.5 pts)

- 0.5 pts per 0.1 of GAA (for example, if Lehtonen finishes with 2.04 and Emery with 2.37, it gives me 1.5 pts - the 0.1 must be a full one, the remaining 0.03 GAA of difference isn't worth nothing)

The best point total declares the best goalie.
Original thread

Right now the stats are :

Emery 17gp 2.27gaa .921s%
Lehtonen 13gp 2.60gaa .922 s%

So the goalers value for now are :

Lehtonen : 0,5
Emery : 1,5

Oh-oh, I'm losing!

Sorry Porno...you're screwed! It's going to be even worse when the Sens decide to let lalime sit in the press box soon enough...and bring up Emery to be #1...then how are you going to compile the stats?

I think Emery is ready now, but the Sens have a tendancy to bring along their players slowly (not a bad thing), so I don't see Emery being given the reigns until at least next season at the very earliest...

Remember you heard it here first..... they will let Lalime leave to Free Agency, give the number one to Prusek and Emery will back him up until Prusek holds out like most Europeans do :p

I think it depends on Lalime's playoff run. I am 100% confident in Lalime when he is playing the way he can. By NO means in Prusek a #1 goalie...if you'll notice every game Prusek has played...the Senators just flat out destroyed the opposition. It's the opposite when Lalime plays and it's not his fault imo.

Indeed. Disco Volante being a link between Bungle and Zorn (it was first a piece by Zorn on the fabulous album Locus Solus), and me being a sucker for both...

Binghamton has beed decimated by injuries so Emery is in tough for the rest of the season. Also, he will probably be suspended, which won't help matters for Binghamton, but could, in some sick way, help his stats.

The final stats :

Emery 53gp 2.47gaa .922s%
Lehtonen 39gp 2.41gaa .926s%

Emery : 0
Lehtonen : 2

I win that bet.

BUT, Lehtonen didn't get to the recquired minimum of 45 games. Tough break.
