We need this win for so many reasons. Let's get block 3 off to a good start. It will also be the last game for nearly a week so here's to heading into the break on a positive note.

big win vs Philly....Rangers need another full 60 minute effort especially against a caps team looking to get back into the 3rd spot in the conference. Obviously Ovie needs to be watched but also guys like Backstrom, Green, and Semin. gotta come hard and fast at these guys!

LETS GO RANGERS!!!

Caps forward lines are a bit tweaked today.

Here are the new forward combos:
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Kozlov
Fleischmann-Laich-Semin
Brashear/Laing-Steckel-Bradley
Pettinger-Gordon-Fehr

per Tarik El-Bashir (Post Beat writer)

Though, they might change.

They also have Eminger playing.

Gonna be a very tough game for the Rangers today after a very physical game with the Flyers yesterday. Gotta try to play that "clamp down on the road" style game again and try to frustrate the Caps.

I'll be up at 3am again for this one.

ideally - AO will net 2-3, Rangers will will 4-2 (or 3)

I Love my Rangers, but man do I wanna see AO steal the poster-child of the NHL status away from Cindy

I just came back from the flu and have had horrible dreams. I dreamed of Ovy scoring 4 goals this game and then injuring one of our "best" players. Some has to take the physical game to Ovy before this happens. Orr and Hollweg, get on him and make sure he's bruised up and cover for your teammates. He's just too damn good in the offense/physical department.

Oh yes, did I mention that Ovechkin is walking on water and Jagr isn't and is sinking fast? Please for our sakes Jagr, score one hat trick for us and bring us back to your young years in the NHL. You still have it in you.

All i want out of this game is for Ovechkin to score a hat trick.

If the Rangers can win too that would be nice.

But since i'm rooting for a fire sale of the vets at the deadline... C'mon AO help make that become a reality!

It really disgusts me that Avery is our current first line left wing.

It makes me want to vomit, really.

We REALLY need a fire sale and a MAJOR overhaul.

I pray for Setoguchi, Bernier, Brunnstrom, and Marian Hossa.

Is it possible to dislike Ovechkin or the Caps?

I almost feel like a traitor, but Ovechkin is the best athlete in the world. And my favorite player.

And how can you not like the young guns on the Caps...

Besides... it is better if the Rangers lose this game. One step closer to getting rid of all these useless veterans and bringing in top young players to replace them.
