Im pretty sure Vally's the tallest goaltender in NHL history. He definetly is the tallest goaltender in the NHL right now.

Yup, Ovechkin rules... thats something that I think practically everyone (except maybe the Penguins fans?) agrees with.

Yes. The excessive celebration's seem a little strange for a player who has never made the playoffs.

They could use some fans. The Rangers have too many as it is.

Generally when you root for one team you don't want the other teams to beat them. Weird how that works.

Good idea.

As of right now Valiquette is 78" and the closest is Auld at 77"
As of 2000-01 Valiquette is the biggest as well. I checked on NHL.com in the stats just go to bios and sort by goalies then height.

You're kidding right? At least he enjoys the game unlike many players who seem like they're just playing for their paychecks. I think Ovechkin is a breath of fresh air for this league with his enthusiasm and love of the game. He's the kind of player people who aren't hockey fans would love to watch. He's always a joker and just likes to have fun. What's so bad about that?
Too bad the NHL is too busy kissing Crosby's ass to market this kid.

Agreed. Who came into the league first - or was it the same year? Crosby or Ovechkin?

If he spoke perfect english and was canadian/american I feel like he would be closer to a poster child. typical.

They both came into the league the same year, Ovechkin won Rookie of the year over Crosby. 52 goals, 106pts his rookie season. SICK.

Imagine of the Pen's won the lottery in 2004 and got AO, and still won the lottery in '05 and got Crosby.....
