Chris Simon

Any word on his condition? Is he likely to return for next round (if there is one)?

I was actually just about to post and ask if you guys knew what the condition of Chris Simon and Denis Gauthier was for Game Seven on monday? Any information would be appreciated.

I don't think Simon will be back. I haven't heard a thing on Gauthier yet though.

^Well, there's two schools of thought I have on Gauthier.

1) They were resting him so they wouldn't aggravate the injury for Game Seven.
2) He was too injured to continue which doesn't bode well for Game Seven.

Now I'd be more inclined to go with option 2 because the game was going to triple OT, the bench was shortchanged, and if Gauthier was capable of playing, he would have. Sutter did not want a Game Seven, so if he could have used Gauthier he would have.

Methinks Gauthier's seriously messed.

From what I heard.
Gauthier wont play in game 7 , looks like knee.
Simon is day to day , so he might ( I have feeling that he will play)
Lydman is also day to day. ( I think that he wont play)

My guess is that Flames will have following lines on monday.
Simon-Conroy-Iginla
Nieminen-Nilson-Donovan
Saprykin-Yelle-Kobasew
Gelinas-Lombardi-Clark. If Simon wont play then Oliwa will

on D regehr-Leopold
warrener-Farrance
Commodore-Montador

Last i saw of Gautier was him on crutches limping around the Saddledome after the game so to me it looks pretty bad, but you never know what happens in playoff times.

Here is the word from www.rotoworld.com

Denis Gauthier is doubtful for this evening's seventh game against the Canucks due to a knee injury, reports the Calgary Sun.

He has not skated since sustaining the injury Saturday night, and will likely be replaced in the Flames' lineup by Steve Montador.
