Just curious. I'm a Leaf fan and was wondering if anything on the Leaf roster could spark your interest.

Thanks in advance

Nothing you could offer would get Weber to Toronto. Sorry.

Not even Kaberle? Not that he would waive his NTC to go to Nashville but it was a thought. Kaberle for Weber +?

Nope, not even Kaberle. Weber is a franchise defenseman here in Nashville and any player brought in to replace him would not equal the same value that Shea brings to Nashville.

not even Kaberle+ for Weber alone.

How about from the Kings side? Would there be interest in a package of Cammalleri + 1st + (prospect like Lewis or Boyle)?

I would think the Preds would move pretty much everybody else on the D-corps before they dealt Weber. The only chance I could see Weber in a different uniform is if somebody offers him a huge offer sheet a la Vanek. But as we saw in that case, the team chose to match the offer.

Do you think that would be the case in Nashville as well? I am not 100% familiar with the ownership situation, but would they be willing to take on a large salary at this time?

I just ask because I am a Kings fan, and I have been watching Weber since his days in Kelowna. You guys are just stacked on D and I cant even imagine if you still had Parent in the system.

Parent was the odd man out anyway, Poile is higher on Franson than Parent.

Weber will be the first RFA re-signed.

weber seem so overrated abit, he might be canadian and iam canadian but nonetheless he seems overrated, some people go as far as to say he's canada next great D-man along side Boumeester and Phaneuf or Staal and Mike Green ( but lets face it, niedermayer and pronger arent going to be around much longer, so i guess weber has to fill out a roster spot when Vancouver 2010 comes around, hopefully weber is half as good as redden by than)

Number of players I'd trade for Weber in the league is probably at about 10-12. None on Toronto.

10 years, 42 million. Poile, get it done.

As a Leaf fan, I think the Leafs would have to give kaberle and tlusty/steen/stajan to even begin negotiations...

Some hockey people would take Weber over Phaneuf...

Heh, try 10 years 60 million. Zero chance Weber signs at an average salary he is probably going to come close to on his next 3-4 year deal.

I would... and I'm not even a Preds fan.

If Toronto (not a Leafs fan either) offered Kaberle + Sundin(UFA) + 1st 08... I'd do it. Certain overpayments would be worth it.

Why would Nashville want a bunch of losers from TO for a young up and coming star?

Anyone that thinks Kaberle is half the d-man Weber is right now, they don't know dick about hockey!

But, but, cant you just waive him for us? Please

Dont get to see much of him but he looks to be the kind of impact player any team would want in their own zone. Congratulation.

He's definitely more than half... probably more than whole at the moment.

just a thought..if some of you think he is a franchise defencemen, why would he only be making 4.2 mil a year average well into his prime? have you guys seen what pronger and niedermayer and redden make? they are franchise defencemen.
