I'm really happy he's going to be here for at least another 2 years. He's alot of fun to watch, and at only $575k a year, he's not eating up alot of cap space.

Lol. I don't know man. Hull and Jackson may need a couple of weeks off after hammering this deal out.

They'll get over it.
On the deal, I don't mind it, especially at such a small price. Barch usually brings everything he has when he's on the ice and I can never be mad about a player like that.
I just want Hagman signed. And want it done now.

Do you think Hagman will get a deal like Chicago's Patrick Sharp, 4 years @ $3.9 million each?

How do we know that Frank Provenzano didn't do the contract negotiations?
Which in most cases the assistant GM, which Provenzano is the "cap specialist", who usually do the negotiations.

Congrats to Barch, it's nice to see someone who was on the fringes of the pros like he was work hard, get his chance, and get rewarded.
The best part of this though means they (hopefully) won't be wasting $$$ and roster spots on psuedo-enforcer 5th line types the next 2 offseasons.

As a pending UFA, I don't know that Miettinen has any real trade value.
