Actual discussion, would of course, acknowledge that the team is something like 2 points out of the conference lead after being the worst team in the NHL by far last year.

It'd also acknoweledge that, despite the naysayers whining, Biron was NOT "ruined" by the platoon/time sharing that's been going on ... in fact, he recently shut out the defending Stanley Cup champs, and has been playing pretty well.

That's cool, i guess since we've been getting points then there is no way to improve our team, sweet logic.

I wouldn't put it past him. Is Rory still on IR?

Yep. As much as we bash him, Stevens can't be that crazy.... can he?

Call it a hunch, but I think management is pressing him to take more chances offensively. When he doesn't, he gets scratched in favor of someone who will, regardless of the chances he (he being the replacement) surrenders.

If Lasse is benched because he "doesn't play for the team", I will eat my Kärpät jersey. I may sound like a homer, because I am and thus my opinion is biased, but Lasse Kukkonen is the most hardworking and unselfish player I have ever met in my life. To claim that he's not a team player is just pure madness.

Well, considering I only counted two posts referring to Steven's as a dick, and one post referring to the ever mature comment "waambulance" there has actually been some decent discussion in this thread. Or did you miss the part where the original post said "I think Stevens is a good coach".........

See above....I also seem to remember most of us saying there was POTENTIAL for Biron lossing some confidence, and that it was a chance he was taking....And, if how many points you put up in the regular season was that important, Detroit would win the cup every year...

The team is not perfect, some of us like to dicuss it. If you dont like it, oh well, that your right, but if people have nothing more to offer than Stevens is a dick, or call the waambulance, they should just stay out of the discussion instead of acting like a 2 year old

Nah, we are PERFECT

Exactly the point that most of us sane posters have been trying to make. Again, I got a great review in work this past year, however, there was still 3 points I was told I could improve. Why doesnt the same logic go for Stevens???

Haha...nah, none taken. I'm well aware of that, which is why I really only pay attention to 2 maybe 3 guys and what they say... mainly Morganti and Macnow.

He looked decent tonight. Blocked some shots and all around serviceable. Ive liked him and think benching him outside of injury was idiotic. I dont think hes top 2 by any means but def a good 4-5 or so. Much better than certain shinhunters we have. I hope hes ok after that one blocked shot, any word?

Anyone else feel that Modry was brought in just to have another reason for benching mr Kukkonen?

I don't think Holmgren wants Kukkonen scratched. He traded for him and then re-signed him. They honestly think Modry will help with the puck moving aspect.

God, I hope not!! Unfortunately, I think it's going to be the case. Right now we have Timmonen, Smith, Coburn, Jones, Vandersuck, Kukkonen, Parent and Modry. Parent probably gets sent down , and most likely Kukkonen sits. I just don't see Stevens benching vandermeer.

How much time did Vandy see playing defense last night? I know he was origionally penciled in as 4th line forward, then my internet died
