Is Sundin a go for game 7? Not according to TSN who claim Sundin went for a light skate on Monday but still seems doubtful to play in game 7 against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday. Sundin injured what looked to be his leg in an otherwise innocent play as he crashed into the boards after being knocked off his skates in the game 4 loss to Ottawa. Toronto will be in tough against the Senators with out Mats and will need a solid effort from the whole team to pull off a win on Tuesday and in my honest opinion unless Sundin's leg is broke *I don't see any cast* Unless he damaged his knee * No brace* I think he should play. I know some will criticize saying a possible stress fracture or what not, but common I had stress fractures *hairline fractures* and they are something you can play with because the team doctors can freeze the foot. The thing that bothers me the most is you see guys like Yzerman who played on one dam leg for the Wings. Imagine the pain he must of been in but he was there and they could count on him. IMO if Sundin does not play I will have lost all faith in him and I am sure others would feel the same way we rely so heavly on him for our offense and you could see how much we missed him the past 2 games even though we won one. I know I am being a tough on the big guy but common this is the season on the line and even a Sundin at 50% is better then most the guys in the league at 100%.
I was watching Leafs tv today(i live in To) and Denis Bayach (sp) said Sundin left practice. He also said it would most likely be a game time decision.

What am i doing here answering this for you?????
Huh??? never answered anything I didn't already know..
As far as I know, it's his hip that's the problem. It was nagging him prior to the fall and he was playing through it early in the series, but that aggravated it.

I heard Sunday morning on the "reporters" that it is a torn quad muscle. If that's the truth I don't think we'll see Mats again till next year or next series. That's a big "if" and aslo depends on what the truth is

Don't worry, "The Reporters" in this case sound more like "The Speculators". If it was a torn quad, there's no way the trainers would allow him to skate even if it has been light skates.

Its not a game time decision anymore, he won't be avaliable for Game 7. He damn well better have a broken leg to be missing a game 7.

Does not seem to be affecting him like a torn quad would.. he shows no signs of discomfort. No Sundin for game 7 = big problems for Toronto.
Well we'll find out what he's made of. If he can lace them up for practice then he should be ready to play. He'll have plenty of time to recover in the long off season. They need him out there, if he doesn't play then Leafs should lose....
