Everyone stop the Francis bashing

 All this bashing of Ron Francis is making me sick . Cut the guy some fricking slack. His speed was never that great to begin with. He is still creating lots of scoring chances and winning lots of key faceoffs. He has been nothing but good on the team since he came here and does not deserve this kind of talk.

Agreed! The thing about Francis is the little things that he does and his excellent playoff resume. Francis is a factor even if he doesn't show it with the flash and dash some players can.

I felt so bad for Francis last night after hearing that god awful sound of the puck hitting the post. I just want him to get a goal so bad. Don't bash the guy, it's not his fault Quinn keeps putting him on the 1st line.

I've never bashed him, yes he is old, 41 is old for the norm of NHL players but he doesn't make stupid mistakes on the ice.

If you watch the replay closely it was going in, Lalime's pad just tipped it to the side a bit.

Ive never bashed the guy...he was a great pickup and fits in so well...Yes he has no speed and ill agree his ability is weakened a bit due to his age...But his playoff experience is exactly what we need...His leadership is great for when people like sundin/nolan get injured at the wrong time

I feel sorry for Ron Francis that his career is winding down on such a mediocre note, just seems to be fading away like Phil Housley last year. That said, I'm going to be hard on him when his contributions are so minimal.
