The Hockey Maven, Stan Fischler, On Our Podcast Today

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that we had Stan Fischler on our podcast today. He had some interesting takes on Lundqvist, Hollweg, Jagr and other things.

If you want to check it out go to our website www.nyrangerscast.com.

He definitely said some things that I'm sure everyone will want to discuss.

Did he really say that Valliquette is a better goalie in the long run than Lundqvist? He also says the team in front of him is terrific? I think Stan has jumped the shark.

I'm fairly sure he's senile at this point

Or he long ago decided "F it, I'm going to talk out my ass and see how long till I get canned".

Wow. Stan really doesn't like Lundqvist's play lately and doesn't seem to like his contract. Anyway, he really likes Valiquette. Says he's the better goalie now and could be a starter easily.

Surprised there.

Good that he wants Hollweg out, and Hossa in, I agree.

Thinks Jagr should of never become the Captain, says it's affecting the team and Jagr.

But I really agree with his comments about Renney.

"His strength is his intelligence, but his weakness is his constant relying on fourth liners."

Wasn't Stan Fischler gloating about how Lundqvist was the best goalie in the NHL only two months ago?

Fischler is a bum as far as I'm concerned

I just thought of Fischler in a leather jacket on water skis and burst out loud laughing. I forgot all about jumping the shark.

Which means jack, because the 4th line was doing a great job defensively for quite awhile..And was often the only line that played any defense..Kinda changesd alittle with Holly taking a few bad penalties and Orr beingtotally useless in games with transition (but he'll keep playing for his pre-arranged fights)

He says that the team in front of him is fantastic, and that Henrik is the one letting the team down (in essence thats what hes saying).

I guess I am watching something very different out there. I see a team that is unable to score goals, and can only win games when their goalie posts 0-1 goals allowed.

Gonna have to disagree w/ the Maven big time.
