Minnesota HS Goalie Mike Lee

If there are other posts about Mike Lee, please post the links.

I've only heard of this kid because they've been talking about him on the radio here in Minnesota. Here are his stats:

15 shutouts in 32 career starts

32-0-0 in his Varsity Career

9 shutouts this season...

In the last 9 games, has given up 5 goals total and gotten 5 shutouts with a save percentage of .974

His goals against average this season is .90 --- less than 1 goal a game

If any of you know about him, when is he draft eligible? He's supposed to be going to SCSU after HS.

He's draft eligible in 2009, but that's all I know.

a friend of mine played on his team last season...

he sent me videos of all their games in the state tournament.. and i was VERY impressed..

he was actually their backup for the most part last season.. until the coaches really noticed how good this guy is...

That's a terrible goalie name.

Call me when his name is Pierre Deschamps or Jarkko Jääskeläinen.

RING . . . Okay, he changed his name to Jarkko Jääskeläinen. Now what do you think of him?

I think it's a shame. He should have changed it to Sprague Cleghorn.

I really like Mike Lee. I think he's a great kid and I'm really glad to see someone like that have so much success.

I will point out though that his Elite League numbers this year were pretty average. He's been amazing at Roseau, but he has an amazing team playing in front of him. I think he's still got something to prove as far as being a pro prospect.

He's an absolute stud. I hope he ends up out West since there's no way he's ever allowing a goal. Not with a name like that.

Picked up his 10th shutout of the season last night as Roseau finished the regular season unbeaten.

About Andy Iles? No, not that I recall. Scouts have been really hot on him lately for the USHL. I don't feel comfortable giving out his name though guys, sorry.

I understand completely... but if you start hyping someone in the USHL next season, we all know who it is

True

He honestly has not ruled out Norway. My parents and sat down with him a few times to discuss possibilities and he still doesn't know what he wants to do. He really wants to go to Notre Dame but he'll have to have a spectacular Senior season to do it and he'd have to impress very very much. USHL would probably be as good as he can get right now seeing as there's been a few scouts that have seen him. The scout from Chicago Steel told him that he has good potential if he learned to become more physical (he's 5'11......?), the one from Indiana just gave my dad his card and told my little brother to keep playing well and he'll end up good. I keep telling him to go NCAA, my mom wants that too because he could stay closer, my dad wants him to go back to Finland, he wants to go to Notre Dame, but he likes the idea of a contract, thus USHL or ECHL (if he gets seen by anybody there).
I just wish I got this kind of attention when I was 16.

Thanks for all of the responses. I didn't expect so many.

I'll have to record some of the games in the playoffs to see him myself.

Lee in 2009? It's going to be a big year.

Yet another shutout on 2/23! Again, he faced less shots (7) than his team scored (8). He's up to 18 shutouts in 35 career starts. He's now officially more likely to shutout a team than to give up a goal! His carreer record is now 35-0-0. He's only given up more than two goals in a game once (He gave up three goals in that game). His save percentage this season is .952. His GAA is 0.80. He hasn't allowed a goal in 204:29 and counting. It's definately not all him though, as his team is a combined +455 in front of him.

This news just in... Roseau is good.

Aaron Ness at +65. As he's got 67 pts, I think that means there have only been 2 goals scored against all year when he's been on the ice.
