Johnsson hasn't missed a game in 3 years as a Flyer due to injury. The last thing I question about him is his toughness and willing to play through pain.

I totally agree but this is unlike any injury he has had to my recollection. For a puck moving defensemen, a broken hand is a fairly serious injury. Especially since most of the scoring chances he creates are off shots from a distance. He'll be frustrated; he'll be concentrating on the pain; he'll feel limited; and to a large degree, he will be limited. His soft hands in combination with his amazing skating ability, make Johnsson the player he is. I don't doubt that he will play and play hard; I just worry how effective he will be.

Anyway, I was just trying to say that you shouldn't worry about cheap shots directed at his hand. There are far greater concerns.
