The victory song and teasing song is the goodbye song...allways has been and still is.
That's what I don't get. I mean, you've got to be new to hockey to not know that the habs victory/ teasing song is the goodbye song. I started watching right before 93 and people were singing it back then, god knows how long before that. You can really tell who is a noob when they complain hab fans are being cocky by singing OLE with a one-goal lead, and I'm only bringing it up because I saw several posts on the Flyer board last night doing just that.
The best this year was singing this song in Boston when we owned their building and kicked their ass!
Being in the crowd at that one amongst so many crushed Bruins fans, just revelling in the victory, may be some of the best fun I've had in years. I'll tell you, being a Habs fan in an away city is like no other - we walk in singing, yelling, drinking, and having a ball, and the opposing team's fans file in like so many jaded curmudgeons...
