Im glad we won this one. The team was there and it felt like they were giving it a full attempt. The refs were on our side on some calls and I think that goal should of been allowed (hurts to call a goal against the Flames) but I dont think that would of made a difference.

Pros:
Iginla with 2 goals and an assist, hes back!!!
Dion is still the leading force on this team
Kipper was on top of his game

Now I hope we can use this game to motivate our next game big time!!

Great road win, and more importantly, a much needed win. Hopefully this gives them a boost of confidence going into Dallas tomorrow night.

MVP of the game: Dion Phaneuf.

2 goals (one of them being the GWG) and a fight to spark his team. He was also great on the PP. I'll say it again, he's really stepped his game up since signing that extension, and has been playing some of his best hockey.

Great game for Jarome Iginla as well who had a 3 point night, with 2 goals and an assist.

And kudos to Miikka Kiprusoff on a great bounce-back game.

Great win tonight. That's what we need to do more of.

The core players lead the way tonight. Iggy 2g-1a, Dion 2g + Fight, Kipper 24 saves .960SV%

Had to miss the game, but from what I've heard and read this game finally had the effort we have been expecting. Good to see Iggy have a huge game. Nothing like the captain leading the team out of a slump. Phaneuf again was great.

Big test is going to be tomorrow night though against the Stars. Need to show the same kind of effort. Stars are hot and we are going to have to be at the top of our game if we want the 2 points.

Whil I agree, that Phaneuf was awesome again, my vote goes to our captain. He showed a strong effort and sparked the whole team. He was on fire the whole night and had a good influence on his linemates in particular Huselius, who played also great, although he didn't score a goal.
Iginla's first goal set the tone IMO and I give him credit for not looking for revenge on Ballard after this huge hit, but deflecting Aucoin's blast.
Honorable mentions go to Dion Phaneuf (see above), Miikka Kiprusoff and David Hale. Unfortunately I have to mention the referees in this section as well. I don't want to take away anything from our team's effort, but the refs were well-disposed to us to say the least.

The Flames played a great all-around game and as happy as I am, I'll still a little sceptical.

MVP Tonight was Iginla, HM to Phaneuf.

Much credit to Matthew Lombardi as well, who had one of his best games of the season. By keeping his legs moving, he bailed this team out of two short-handed situations by drawing a penalty.
