Hitch should sit with each player individually and ask them who they want to be on their line. Then take all the responses and put the lines together. Heck, it can't hurt, since he's tried everything else. Maybe putting guys with the guys they want to be on a line with would work!!! You heard it here first.

How many NHL players have been born and/or trained in central Ohio? How many hockey fans does the city have? How many times have the Jackets made the playoffs?

Sorry boys, respect has to be earned.

We are not hated. They are trying to grow new markets and we fortunately are one. Now if we only could have the success to enable this. Just think of how loved the Jackets would be if we had the success of our twin brother, the Wild.

I'd like to think "step up boys".

Are you ready to assume leadership responsibility?

"I think lately Ive taken a big step in showing what I can do on the ice. Now that Footer is gone Im definitely going to have to step it up in the dressing room."

Are you ready to become the vocal leader of the team?

Im still a guy whos 23 years old. Its kind of tough telling a guy whos 30 years old to pick up his game and things like that, they might not listen, but Im ready to take that jump, starting trying those things and Im sure a lot of guys will be behind me.

I heard from a very reliable source that Hitchcock and the coaching staff weren't the only people to walk out on the practice. Supposedly, Fedorov left the ice as well.

If this is true, this definitely sealed his fate as a Jacket.

Judging by last night's game, they didn't get the message, except for Boll and Nash.
