All the Potential Thrasher Free Agents are in Play

Don Waddell has been giving more and more signs that he's willing to move as many pieces as possible to fix the Thrashers' mess.

http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sp...hers_0225.html

According to Custance, Waddell acknowledges interest is growing in Holik, Recchi, Hedberg, and Hossa...and Custance adds that Zhitnik is being shopped.

Considering how many players are not playing well, Garrioch was right in saying Exelby could be in play too. He's been terrible this year.

Basically, it's Open Season for Thrashers. Come 'n' get 'em, y'all.

This isn't a "Firesale" it's a "Blowout Clearance".

The Thrashers have a better record than the Leafs and Oilers this season to date, so Edmonton and Toronto should have a blowout clearance too, eh?

Ryder for Holik straight up. Two UFA next summer. Ryder will get you more points but Habs needs a big third line centerman like Holik.

Is there a chance that if Montreal make a move for Hossa, they would want Holik too??? I doubt it, but you never know...

I can see why Montreal have interest in Holik, but im sure they would rather keep Ryder, hes been playing alot better recently.

How about Thibault and a fourth Rounder from the Sabres for Hedberg?

He should probably start by firing himself.

I think so yes. Both Hossa and Holik would be of interest to the Habs. As for Ryder , yes he has been playing better recently but he won't re-sign him this summer so he's as good as gone. I think that Holik would be more useful than him in a playoff run and Hossa would compensate for the loss of goals.
