Tanguay looks to be staying put.

-There really wasn't a point in trading Tanguay.
-Other than to appease Montreal fans.

And free up $5.3m that we desperately need. That's a lot of cents isn't it?

For what? We should have enough to sign Langkow, and if not we can always shed some salary
Huselius is as good as gone

Hopefully this raises the trade value of Satan, Fedotenko, and Comrie!

You might be right, and I don't disagree with you.
However my point to the other guy was that I wrote the exact quote that Dreger has said on the air. Whether you guys find Dreger reliable or not is not my problem.

Huselius is as good as gone. I think he'll likely be traded tonight or tomorrow morning. I think Sutter wants to keep Langkow more, not to mention he should be a lot cheaper than 'Juice'.

At the bottom of the article, Sutter has announced that he's negotiating with Langkow. Looks like Hus will probably be allowed to walk in the off season.

*Sigh* I have mentioned it on the Flames board and I'll mention it here: not trading Tanguay now does not mean, that Sutter won't trade him later this year (e.g.: before the draft).

Sure, but right now, which player would Sutter rather have for about 5 million bucks. Tanguay or Huselius.

Chances are Huselius will play through the playoffs then Sutter will let him walk in the off season, and he'll got with a top line of Langkow, Tanguay and Iginla.

Letting him walk will look pretty dumb if we don't do anything in the playoffs, and even worse if we don't even make it. Not that I don't have faith in my team but from a logical unbiased perspective the Flames aren't exactly top contenders. History states Huselius won't show up for the playoffs anyway so I hope Sutter can get him out of town before the deadline.

extend Langkow now, extend Tanguay in the summer, let Huselius walk. I'm a happy camper.

More and more of the letting players walk is going to happen under the system, especially if that player isn't a core player and can be replaced by an expanding free agent pool.

If Sutter is going for a long playoff run this year, and he has three out of 4 of his top forwards under contract, he's going to roll the dice and let the dust fall where it may in the off season.

I agree completely. Could he go back to FLA?
