Huh? We did too well because of Zherdev to get Ovechkin, was that the claim?

Zherdev scored two goals in a game causing us to move up a draft spot and not draft ovechkin.

Brad's single though isn't he? So unless he wants to fly home to visit his parents every time he gets a few days off I don't really understand the logic about being close to PEI.
If you've seen the Farmer's Only Commercials on our broadcasts, you understand that the PEI dating scene might look more enticing to him.

that's right, because of the lottery. Wash jumped from 3 to 1. We were at 4.

He's going to go to his grave hating Zherdev. He's to blame for everything in Dougie's life.

In Columbus he can play with Nash.
In Dallas Ribeiro is their top center so he'd be on the 2nd line centering Anttii Miettinen.
In Vancouver he'd be on the 2nd line centering Mason Raymond and Taylor Pyatt.

Seems like an easy choice for Brad.

I think what we might be witnessing also is that ownership may increase the payroll now that they have some trust in the current team leadership. I don't think the ownership group is strapped for cash, but they could of been leery of handing DM too many cookies especially in the last few years.

I hope I am right and the experiment on the cheap is now giving way to let's compete.

I can see Hitch selling the fact that with some more horses we can get there to ownership.

Nash wouldn't even be the 13th forward on either of those teams.

Hmmmm, now I'm curious...

As for the amount of posts, over on the Canucks' board we're on our second thread as well. I took a look at the Dallas board and they've only got 20 some odd posts dedicated to Richards! Let's exclude them from this bidding war, they don't deserve Richards!

He could have just as easily drafted Thomas Vanek. He should hate himself.

Passing some time, the major thing I like about a Brad Richard singing is his age, he's just peaking. The second thing is the contract length we would be getting and the third is the impact he will have on Nash. If we have those two on the first line and Z on the second with Brassard other teams would struggle stopping both lines... Brad could also provide some excitment in the last month this season. We could come close to making the postseason if other teams tank.

Markus Naslund doesn't play in Vancouver anymore?

In 2 years our top six could be

Nash - Brassard - Voracek
Modin - Richards - Zherdev

That should be Stanley Cup contending.

Giggity giggity
