true but do you honestly see someone offering that money for pitkanen?

I would have been all over that a few weeks ago. But after reading about Pitkanen in the thread on the Flyers board, I don't wanna touch Pitkanen with a 10 foot pole.

Probably not the best place to go for a unbiased opinion.

If this were even a bit close to reality then it would be draft day deal and not a TDD.

Lombardi will not trade LA's #1 at this time, he'd be foolish to do so until after it is certain which pick it will be. I can conceive of Lombardi trading down but first we would need to see where the Kings will be picking.

If that pick ends up being #1 overall after the lottery, it would have been a major blunder to trade it early at the trade deadline.

$35M over 8 years? For sure. Risky, but he has the potential to way outplay a $4.3M cap hit.

how about Staios + Ana 1st for LA 1st.

Or Stoll + Ana 1st for LA 1st.

Other than that, there's no way in HELL Edmonton trades Pitkanen for that.

IMO, If LA had a number 1-2 pick, I don't see how this would be a bad deal. I just don't see any team throwing a offersheet of 4.12 mil + at Pitkanen. Especially if they're a team that will most certainly recieve a high draft pick in 09.

Is there such a thing as having a negative IQ?

*****es got told!

Seriously, I'd definitely do this deal as LA if we lose the lottery and get the #2. I'd definitely move the #2 for Pitkanen and what I imagine would be the #4-7. I don't see why Edmonton would though.
