Dear Hockey Gods,

Dear Hockey Gods,

I really, really, can't take anymore of Petr "I got knocked-down again and lost the puck" Prucha. Please, please, Hockey Gods....make this horrible hockey player with no guts go away!!! Make this jellyfish, waste of roster spot go away!!!! I've been good this year....really I have...and I don't ask for much. Maybe a nice little D man...or a pick...or maybe a bologna sandwich with grey poupon mustard on it...yeah...that would do it. And I ask you this...why do people still support him? Even over Nigel Dawes....who is a real hockey player...with skill, balance, and the ability to finish. Ok, well I know you're going to be really busy, today...so I'll let you go.

ps. if you have enough time...could you maybe find us a D-man that can actually move the puck on the PP? Oh and get rid of Hossa and Malik, too!!

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

Wes D.

No guts!!!???

Please... you havent watched a single game or you are blind.

This is ridiculous.

Prucha has more guts than 3/4 of the NHL. I'd like to see you try and get up from half of the hits he takes.

I agree Prucha has not been putting up points solidly, but I still like him. I like Dawes much more though.

Also, Malik has been playing good for us since he returned, why get rid of him now? unless he starts slumping again, I dont see why we done keep him.

you're right...maybe bad choice of words....

he has the guts to get knocked down on every play and get back up, only to get knocked down again...so in that respect, you're right. He can take a hit....only to take another, and another, and another..

and I've watched 95% of the games sine 1989....thanks

So, is there a point to this thread other than how much you hate Petr Prucha? Is this a trade proposal? A call for a benching?

That is silly. You obviously have no idea how hockey works. Prucha's lack of size is nothing he can do anything about. At the same time, he has more guts than most people ever will. I guarantee you if you were on the ice and I checked you (since I am pretty much the size of Eric Lindros minus the concussions) you would not keep popping back up. Prucha not only gets up but plays in spots where a guy his size would usually be afraid to go. He isn't.

Bad choice of words? If you really watched the guy the second you wrote that you would've realized it doesn't make sense. Of course he gets knocked down a lot. Look at the size of him. And of course he hasn't produced like he did his rookie year. But don't insult the guy. It's one thing to prefer he'd be move. It's another to be a complete ass towards a player who gives 110% for the team you root for.

until prucha can get strong enough to not get knocked off the puck, he will be nothing more than a 3rd liner and pp specialist.

that being said, i have no problem keeping him, but if he is a chip that needs to be traded for a upgrade, so be it. i like dawes game better

As the biggest fan of tough hockey on this board I have to sy your way off. Prucha plays the gamelike a 225 lb guy and his isn't. No power play time is what hurt him not lack of contact.

On one of the busiest days of the year here:

- new threads with no content will not be allowed

- RESPONDING to threads with no content only wastes bandwidth and our time. If it's not a valid topic, don't reply. If it becomes a problem, proper infractions will be handed out.
