Rangers/Knicks aircraft has been located. Owned by MSG and formerly operated by Pace, this counts as a owned aircraft.

Repainted between '05 and '06 as well.

I noticed this one to.

It's owned by MSG, painted with MSG or 'rangerish' stripes (red, white, blue), often used by Rangers/Knicks but I've noticed that it has obviously been busy with other stuff quite often too.

I checked Rangers' last away games (worth flying to) and the aircraft was obviously not used by them.

So owned by the same owner and used when needed and available, but not really the same way as Stars, Red Wings and some others.

But on the other hand, they don't have a similar extensive traveling schedule

All valid points. Plus, the Knicks and Rangers seasons coincide and they'll often be traveling on the same days - the plane can't be in two places at once. Why they repainted it in green/gold is a mystery to me, however.

Chances are good that Richards and Holmqvist will join the team tomorrow in Dallas after the Stars return home playing the Blues tonight. (Tampa is idle tonight, plays at home tomorrow) Stars play Chicago at home on Thursday.

However, if they do want to get them on the ice tonight you will see a flight show up here. (Don’t think for a minute that NHL players will travel on any non-first class Southwest flight…)

N757SS has not filed any flight plan to drop off or pick anybody up and would not be able to make the round trip in time(also it’s too expensive for a 757). Look for a chartered Lear, Gulf, or a CitationX to make any exchanges. Again, don't hold your breath.

Dallas only has 16 games left this season, which is 4 less than quite a few teams. You never know, maybe Hicks will spring for the charter.

N757SS has filed an IFR flight plan for KSTL > KDAL. It will not be going to Tampa.

Hicks has his own plane, but I have not found it, as it was blocked back when N698SS was blocked. It is believed to be a G5.

Supposedly Heika says Halpern/Jokinen/Smith are on a plan back to Dallas to meet with Tampa..

They may be on the plane now heading down? And the plane will head back up for our boys tonight?

The flight plan is scheduled for a 10PM departure from STL(They are always optimistic on departure time) and the Stars' aircraft is still parked on the ramp at STL.

Those three might have gotten on a commercial flight, but that means Dallas plays without a backup goalie tonight. That's not very likely. Unless Hicks' personal plane went Dallas>Tampa>St Louis>Dallas to go get Holmqvist or Dallas>Des Moines>St Louis>Dallas to get an IStar goalie, Smith will be on the bench tonight.

There was a Chautauqua Airlines flight that left Des Moines at 3:16 and arrived in STL around 4 that could have had a Iowa goalie on it(they're in the middle of a 3.5 week break). We'll see what plays out tonight.

You have to think they were planning this deal and might have anticipated this eventuality over the last two days or so.

Heika already said Tobias Stephan was on his way to St Louis tonight to back up.. and they sent a back up D Man too cause Grossman is out tonight and they need a backup just in case since Bouche boy starts.

After just an hour on the ground, 757SS departed San Jose and flew empty to Phoenix. Since the Rangers are in the Cactus league they are most likely going to pick them up to take them to their Friday night game in OKC. Then it should be employed to haul the Rangers back to Texas for their final exhibition game on Saturday afternoon.

The Stars will need to get from San Jose to LA after tonight's game and 757SS will possibly do Phoenix > OKC tonight and then OKC > SJ > LA for the Stars and then LA > OKC > Dallas for the Rangers. All on Friday. Alternatively they could go back to San Jose tonight after dropping the Rangers off.

Or they may just charter a plane for the Stars to go SJC > LAX. Where's 698SS? No one knows. That's the problem.

Depends on how the game ends.

If they lose they're sent home on cheapest available ticket and sent to bed without dinner

If they win they get a charter

I was close. 757SS departed Phoenix last night with the Rangers and went to Dallas-Love. I'd imagine they're dropping off all their spring training gear, personal luggage, etc. It can be seen here.

757SS has filed a flight plan from Dallas to San Jose for 9:40 this morning. It looks the Rangers will be stuck hopping a charter to OKC today while the Stars get the big aircraft to shuttle down to LA.

A quick look at flights from the Dallas area to OKC shows nothing but some Southwest 737 flights. I doubt they'll be using one of those so I suspect that 698SS is back in Texas, but with it being blocked it will not appear.

They have used N147AW in the past but are no longer. Report is they use a Delta plane under flight number 9791.

I have not checked it against Anaheim's schedule, but it appears to be hitting the Pacific Division cities and other NHL airports with regularity.
