The GM is gonna be on the big show at 5:20pm.

Tooley sounds pretty angry about the deadline happenings. Spielman (or is it Cro-Mag now?) is OK with it, as far as I can tell.

www.1460thefan.com for the stream.

Hopefully there's some tough questions and not patting Howson on the back for getting rid of Feds and Foote.

Yeah I'm listening too - good job of illustrating the repercussions of these moves.

His point was we have money, but if players dont see a commitment to winning, they will not come. I have to agree.

I don't know if I can listen to this crap until Howson comes on. I mean I guess Cro-mag tries but really it's pretty painful. We need a different radio station with atleast one analyst that has a hockey background.

Richards named us as one of three teams he was willing to go to and we were in the hunt for him until the deal was announced. Also we are still only 5 points out of the playoffs (I know it's a stretch) and still could make it. Ofcourse I don't understand the Brassard move but the youth could gel and go on a run and make it. Then we have the draft day which could be where Howson makes some moves, then the draft, and the offseason. Also their are influx of high ceiling players on our roster that could become stars like Brassard, Brule (it's hard to ignore his numbers he consistently put up in Vancouver), Russell, Methot, Voracek, Picard even. Maybe if Speils could make an extended arguement I'd take him more serious.

Somebody please post a summary, assuming the interview happens at all. I refuse to regard 1460 as a source of anything hockey-related. They do nothing but bash the NHL and complain about the team. These boneheads will do nothing but ask ill-informed questions or, at best, ask questions to which most of us already know the answers from coming on here or other sites with better information hours ahead of 1460.

Per Scott Torgeson:

Foote asked to be traded..interesting...

Had 6-7 offers for Feds...

Brad Richards wanted to be a blue jacket, Tampa approached us last week, but as of last night we knew he would be a Dallas Star

Spiels just said that Torgerson is a hockey fanatic. I wouldn't say a guy who calls Ovechkin O-veetch-kin is a hockey diehard. Gimmee a break.
