We need to win, period. If we barely miss the playoffs, then at least the young guns have played meaningful hockey to the end. We need to continue to take steps forward.
No he doesn't, traded 2 key pieces and got 0 roster players back, that's giving up on your team if I've ever seen it. Howson gave up on this season yesterday.
You said Fedorov was trash on Feb. 13.
Today you say he was a "key piece".
So if Howson gave up yesterday, you apparently gave up over a week ago.

Timeless...is that really you? You have changed a lot since yesterday. Seems you have been called out here. Care to explain why one day trading Fedorov is good and the next its bad?
If you think that having a high draft pick next year will change this franchise, you're wrong. A high draft pick will definitely influence the future, but won't give this team a 180°.
I'd rather these players just learn what it means to win, and then they can show these draft picks how it is done.
I want this team to win. I don't want this team to lose. I could care less about draft picks at this point.
I want them to win with or without Richards, with or without Feds, and with or without Foote.
I want wins. I still want them now. I will still be disappointed if we don't compete the rest of the season.
Too many people are content in giving up and calling it common sense.
Its okay to be a fan. Its ok to want wins. You wanted them a month ago. Why don;t you want them now?
I would like us to finish hard so we get a winning tradition with the young guys. This will help build character for next year when we add key pieces.
Agreed.

The media has written this team off as of yesterday...of course, the media wrote this team off in September. Hopefully, they can rally around this and still make an attempt at the playoffs. Regardless of playoffs, they need to finish strong. I fear tanking the remaining games by this young team will do nothing but make them question themselves going into next season.
The Dallas thing is a bit of a fantasy, but hard to disagree...

I hope the team takes a Jake Taylor attitude starting tonight; you know:
Jake Taylor: Well then I guess there's only one thing left to do. Roger Dorn: What's that? Jake Taylor: Win the whole ****ing thing.
Jake Taylor pwns.

And for the record, Major League is a great movie.
Absolutely. As for Major League, where do you think I got my quote?

Again, a bit of a fantasy, but that would be Major League Cool.

Yes. Could be valuable as part of a package to go after Richards again after the Stars are eliminated by San Jose.

Sure...I agree that the CBJ have a huge hill to climb for the playoffs...but we're as close to the 7th seed as we are the 8th, so why not fantasize. The 7th seed likely gets Dallas unless Detroit continues to freefall. We went 1-1-2 verus Dallas.
