This is really irrelevent. It's not like we were trading Kovalev for Hossa. Bob Gainey was well aware that Kovalev is an impact player (at least this season). He was just in the market for another impact player.

Funny how you say that you don't think he is an impact player, yet I believe I saw around 7-8 threads regarding Hossa with 1000 posts each. Talk about hypocrisy...

No reason to knock Hossa at all. He's proven to be world class two-way player. It's not his fault he's not here. Maybe if in the summer he pulls a Briere on us, then maybe knock him.

Are you really un-aware what type of player Hossa can be or were you just counting on everyone here being a bunch of ****heads? Hossa is having an off-year. Why don't you compare their career stats?
