Good find, Reap. I hope Moller makes it.

I saw that Oscar's dad's name was Kent-Ola. Straight out of Copy Machine Richard from SNL.

"Chasing the Dream" sounds like an 80's afterschool special.

I hope Brian Burke has to endure Moller for a very long time.

Don't Call Him Lil Oscar...

I really like this kid or young man... as he will be by the time he gets to the Kings!
If we as fans with some limited knowledge could say something to him it might be this...

Oscar we have a need in our Org for good right wings, keep up the good work ethic and practice your skills, skating and shot variety also shot power! And keep working on your skating an strength regimenes! These will carry you to the top as they have for all the skilled right wings in the league.

Oh yeah an who cares what Brian Burke says... We want to be your biggest fans!

Pss: thanks for the Link Reap...

This story is good, but quite old. It's been up on the Bruins website since last year. Regardless, hopefully the guy that did the work on this story got paid for it appropriately.

Just curious... I was looking over alot of mock drafts from 2007 and saw mostr had Moller as a mid to lower first rounbd pick. What was the reason for him falling to lower second round?

WHL team. Chilliwack is a long long way from Ontario.

I was really hoping for the Sharks to take this kid on draft day. He seems like he's got a ton of heart. But not having a 2nd round pick meant that Moller (along with a lot of my other wants) were gone by the time San Jose was back on the clock.

I have no idea. Going into the draft he was still rated as such, and I was pretty surprised he was still on the board at the end of the first day. There were a lot of guys sort of like him though; Joakim Andersson, another guy who was expected to go in the late first, fell into the 3rd round. Zack Torquato was expected to fall because of a criminal investigation, but not as far as the 6h round. I guess in every draft there's a few guys who slip through the cracks a bit.

Personally I wouldn't touch Torquato with a 10 ft pole.

Teddy Purcell must of felt like a porn star with the number of cracks he fell thru!

I wouldn't either on principle, but he's skilled. I'm sure we all know plenty of stories in the sports world where talent has trumped ethics or character.

I posted it during the World Juniors, but it's still a great piece, especially for those that have not seen it. One thing that DL did right. I have high hopes for Moller.

What is the 411 on Torquato? What did he get mixed up with?

Not that I think this matters to the Kings. We don't seem to be the type to go with personal risks.

"Five current and former Saginaw Spirit hockey players pleaded guilty to assault and battery in an incident that occurred at a Tittabawassee Township home back in October of 2006.

The three former players involved are [...] Zack Torquato, 17, plays for the Erie Otters.

The Saginaw prosecutor says their guilty plea are a result of an Oct. 4 incident involving a then 15-year-old girl."

I totally remember that. Thanks. Hadn't kept up with the story since.
