Having said that, I would not trade Price for any other rookie in the league.
hey shhhh he's winning the calder

I don't think awards take the playoffs into account? Or at least I thought they didn't.

WIth his current stats, it's not enough to win it. If he has the same stats but with 60GP (30 W, 18L, 6 OTL, 2.67 GAA, 914 SV%), there would be no doubt that he'd win it.

He will get some votes for sure. Goalies get a little leeway when it comes to ROtY...I don't think he deserves to win but he'll get some votes. He also gets alot of hype which will add to it.

Toews, Kane, Mueller, Backstrom are all ahead of him.

However if he truly takes over the starting job, unconteste, and doesn't falter from now till the end, he will get votes simply because taking over as a starter at 20 years old is amazing.

Well the voting for regular season trophies is done before the playoffs start. But still...he's not going to win.

You wait and see how awesome 2nd Round Draft pick is, he will surprise alot of you.

As far as I know, doesn't the voting for the Calder cup only consider the regular season?

He certainly wont win the calder trophy, this is why everyone on hf boards hates habs fans threads like this.

Price is my favorite Habs but i think Backstrom deserve the Calder. He will become a PPG as soon as next season.

I'm suspicious of any account opened this year in Jan./Feb. when infractions were being thrown around and arguments were going downhill quickly.

And thank god for the ignore thread feature. Price for Calder every bloody day. Gross. Time to employ that little x.

2003-04 Boston NHL 57 29 18 9 3420 117 1586 3 2.05 .926

These are the stats Raycroft posted when he beat Ryder for the calder. Ryder had 25goals and 63points. Kane and Backstron will probaly get around 70pts. I don't think Price has a shot. Anyway he won the other calder last year

In an interview before the season started he said he wanted 15 wins this season.
