Goes without saying but I'll say it anyways, this is the most important month of March this team has ever faced. We need more wins on this road trip, and it continues against Edmonton!

game 1 of 4 straight with no TV. Bumped for the NCAA Women's tournament.

Hopefully next year this new group's people can broker a better TV setup. Maybe use a spillover channel for times like this, similar to what they with radio. You'd think it would be in their best interest to have access to all\most of the games, especially away games.

Its not a stretch to say that this game is very important. Hopefully the team carries the momentum of the Dallas game into Edmonton and keeps it up.

This road trip may decide if we make the playoffs or not.

Interesting decision from Trotz, does he play Ellis or Mason in Edmonton?

Last time on the father's trip Trotz went with Ellis, which was odd because usually Mason played against Edmonton (or so I remember).

Mason has had all season long to catch fire, it's time to ride the hot hand that is obviously Dan Ellis.

Looking forward to a good one, Preds fans. The Oilers are hot at home right now, but your guys always seem to give us trouble.

Cheers!

come on guys, i expect comments like these from the NP boards but not here... as outstanding as saturday nights game was that was Ellis first 'quality" appearance since the St louis game 2 1/2 weeks ago. lets just hope we can string back to back good games from the whole team, ellis included.

agreed. as memory serves mason only gave up half of those goals against dallas(@ home) and buffalo. but i did expect ellis to start since he is 3-0 vs the oilers this season and he was coming off a strong outing against one of the hotter teams in the NHL.

Sorry Pete and Terry, you are great guys and I enjoy watching games you broadcast, however...Edmonton PPV games rule! I'll take it over the local feed whenever their available. Unfortuanately though, they don't do interviews inside the Predators locker room after the game...only inside the Edmonton one.

What happened with the simultaneous brawl between Stortini\Hordichuk\Smithson\Staios, and why were Smithson\Staios tossed out of the game?

Stort was trying to draw Hordi into a fight before the intermission. Hordichuk obliged him in the 2nd period. As for Smithson/Staios, they didn't show many angles, but I think they were ejected for being the 2nd fight......it was after the other fight had started.

Correct, Smithson and Staios were ejected for being involved in a secondary altercation.

Good job Preds!

I really like Edmonton PPV, no commercials! And the announcers weren't that bad either.

Congrats to Erat for his first career hattrick, and for the natural hattrick. Hlavic on that line seems to be a pretty good fit so far. They are playing well the last 2 games.

Fiddler with a great pass to Koistinen for the goal. I was wondering what Fids was going to do with the puck and he sent a great no look pass to Koistinen who just shot it right in.

I thought Suter played well tonight. Our whole d played well. (Zids/Koistinen were both +4!)

Ellis with another strong game. He made some great saves tonight for sure. And Hamhuis, again, helping Ellis make a key save in the game.

I hate to nitpick but I was a little disappointed with Radulov tonight, he was very quiet. With 5 goals scored he somehow didn't manage a point or even a shot on goal.

So far 4/6 points on the trip. Pretty good, and it makes the Buf game seem like ancient history.

I have nothing against Mason. The guy just hasn't been consistent. If the guy played like he did last year you'd hear no comment from me. But the facts are the facts, the team wins when Ellis starts, he has better sv% and gaa and there is no way you can argue that. Yes he has had his bad moments but they are much fewer than Mason's bad ones.

And now to the game, Erat was big. Hey what can you say, that line of Legwand, Erat and Havlac has been producing, and looks alot better than when Bonk was on it. The Havlac trade so far looks like a pretty good deal, he even played some on the penalty kill. He's done alot more than I though he would lol

And now onto Vancouver and a HUGE game.

I just wanted to say how good of a player Hamhuis is developing into. I'm a Flyers fan first, but I've always liked Hammer dating back to his juniors days. He looked exceptionally good last night and was putting the hurt on Hemsky whenever he had a chance.
