Rick Green

Long before this game Rick Green should have been fired. MTL defense makes costly
mistakes. Turnovers! missed assignments! soft play in front of net! This has gone on for a long time. Rick Green has not made the defensemen solid. He did not do for the Islanders and he hasn't done it for us. He is not a good teacher or coach. The montreal defenseman have not learned from their mistakes and that is his fault.

How many mistakes for Tampa Bay defense? Plenty more than our defense. There will be a few breakdowns during a hockey game, that's why you CAN'T win the Stanley Cup without a good/clutch goaltender.

Sure, we can blame the defense for a few plays, but why do those few mistakes always result in goals while mistakes for TB do not?

The D as a whole looks and is terrible out there in this series, is it his fault? Not totally. But he has to go no matter what though because the Assistants should be Juliens choice, not the ones that were left there when Therrian was fired.

When you fire a coach fire the whole staff.

Julien didn't deserve to inheirit those fools.

Our D is making costly mistakes, that isn't coaching mistakes either. They are making poor choices in getting pucks out (use the glass and go up the boards, not up the middle). Take your man, don't chase the puck and watch the TB player behind you.

I know what your saying. Tamps d was not much better than ours But our defense is not solid. It is Rick Green's job to make sure the defense plays hard in front of the net, also to make sure they don't pinch and give up odd man rushes, and to shoot the puck out off the boards. These mistakes have gone on for the last couple years. Rick Green has not pounded it into their heads to play this way.

Regardless of the coach, our D have played this way for years.

Agreed. Green has to go. Not because of this game, but because we haven't had a really solid defense corps since he took over, despite having some decent talent back there over the years. Both assistants must go.

I do not blame Julien. He must look down the bench sometimes and think if Rick Green has a pulse. Everybody must agree MTL defense has gone on too long be unconsistent. I think we have good defense they just have to be coached properly.

Im a true fan of Rivet's work infront of the net. Even tho tho goal was 99% goaltending Rivet could of made an effort to atleast give Lecavalier a tap on the leg or something.

Hehe, now Rick Green

I don't know if he should be fired. We allowed about 40 less goals this season and we reached round 2.

It will be BG decision i guess
