Friends, I feel the RAGE

Yes, just like all of you I was flabbergasted when Lecavalier potted the game-tying goal, and was screaming at the TV in anguish. When Richards scored on the second shot, I almost burst into tears. Just like everyone else who loves this team.

HOWEVER, we must not take out our rage on OUR OWN TEAM. We must not bash our own playersw and start the accusations over whose fault it was, and who should shoulder the blame for the loss unless we want the team quarantined.

By showing our support to the team (as most fans did after we were down 3-1 last series) perhaps we can bounce back... and even if we don't, it was certainly a great season. A season where we surpassed all expectations.

So instead of calling for Theodore to be traded, Souray to have his wrists chopped off by an evil inquisitor with a bald head, and for Brisebois to be put to death by attaching electric currents to the very manly part of his anatomy let us use all the rage on the other team. We have good reason to be angry at Tampa. We have good reason to be angry at CBC, and we have good reason to be angry at Prime Minister Martin.

So let's pretend we're intelligent, because venting our frustrations and calling for Juliens head wrapped in bubble-wrappings and UPS'ed to George Gillette will not change anything.

That being said, CBC sucks.

Lafleur tells me that there was a time when the great Bill Durnan (who played 6 years in the NHL and won the Vezina 5 of them. Also helped the Habs sip champagne 4 times) was booed. Heck, I bet we'd boo Gretzky in this town for playing too 'soft.'

I didn't think his yelling, or whatever, was offensive. He's just a kid that was super pumped to score a big goal in his hometown. I've seen much worse.

I'll pretend even that if it would make the bashing stop.

Maybe we need two very separate Habs boards?

Um, you got me wrong, Guy. I was talking about ME screaming at the TV in anguish, not Vinny. He was ecstatic.

Lafleur was also screaming at the TV when he scored the goal. Actually Lafleur always screams at the TV regardless.

You can call me Brisebois, Breezy or Briss-Boy.

My close friends, though, call me 'pee-pee-head.' (a nickname I have rightfully earned over the years).

Lafleur calls me 'Master.'

Pee pee head, I've been thinking about becoming a briss boy myself. I'm 29 years old. Will this cause any complications? Do you have any other tips?

Yes, this may cause complications. Under the influence of the various drugs and anesthetics, you may mistakenly ask for a castration.

Also, if your Mohel is near-sighted you just might spend the rest of your life peeing to the left, but I would rather not get into any details.

And, if you get an extremist to do the circumcision, he will probably cut off 'more than the law requires,' which is a symbol of piousness.

Pun intended?

But since you asked, I'll give you one VERY SERIOUS word of advice.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT try to skinny-dip in the dead sea after your Briss.

Lafleur says he knows a Mohel who can give you a group rate, if you bring some friends along.

PeePeeHead, after perusing threads that got me to the point that I was going to suggest an adult board and a spoiled child board, I read this thread and remember again why I spend time here. Thanks, the last post may have saved my day. Anyways, if we had an adult board, people would just think it was porn. When I saw adult, it has nothing to do with chronological age.

Well done Brisebois...and mcphee I might add. Unfortunately I had to teach a class tonight and missed the entire game (so I don't qualify to comment on the game from the highlights alone). I have skimmed the posts and agree with the two "types" of posts. This was as heartbreaking a loss as the team has suffered in a while. I guess during stress we all act our age. I think I'll buy some acne cream now (do they still call it that?)

Thanks for the info. I slept on it last night, and then I spilled coffee on it this morning. The scalding and seering pain convinces me that I am thin skinned and will indeed need some form of anaesthetic.
From your details, you don't make it sound much like getting a tattoo, which is probably for the best because that terrifies me as well. Besides, I was worrying about what sort of message I could get needled on without compromising myself.
As for peeing to the left, it could actually have some evolutionary benefits for me as my 'partner' is somewhat misshapen. Not to mention, my bathroom is a dog-leg left so maybe I could finally get the job done in par.

I tend to avoid extremists for the same reason as you: I never know what lengths they will go to.
