Wondering about Blazhievskiy, he seems like a young player with interesting tools.

Datsyuk had a knee surgery, so no guarantee he will be back until the WC.

On the other side, as at least one Metropolitan division will be out after the first round of PO, it is likely that we will have either Malkin or Bob.

Datsyuk should never ever play at the WC again. Of course I'm not dissing him, just the WC should be played mostly by young guys.

I would agree if that would be anyone else, but it is Datsyuk - his locker room presence is worth at least as much as his on-ice presence.

The "problem" is that he is a center. We need to get our centers to actually play and gather experience.
I enjoy when our team wins, but I am not happy about the way the team has been ruled in the latest few years. I think that some wins were necessary (especially the Bykov's era ones to get players back) for a number of reasons, but I don't like the policy of "let's just wait for a tired Ovechkin".
I have the utmost respect for guys like Ovechkin and Malkin, but what did they bring to our teams? Except when they were with the teams since the start, they haven't really added much.
And the IIHF is redicolous to let teams adding players until the last game, new players should be called max after 2-3 games.
