Potential first round match up on Wednesday and Thursday(Least probable, possibly second round match up should we advance).

I don't think we will win both games as they are back-to-back but I would like to see a very strong effort in both games.

The last thing I want to see is a complete collapse.

Complete collapse could mean a date with Montreal instead of Pittsburgh. Maybe not the worst thing, but definitely not ideal.

An interesting tidbit from this article:

"A 16-game winning streak from Nov. 29 through Jan. 3 put them in first place in the NHL standings. Even when they sagged, going 6-8-1 in their next 15 games, they never lost more than two in row. They remain the only team not to lose three straight this season."

Unsustainable.

Some kind of source would be great.

Nearest I can see so far is that Sedlak is in at LW. No idea who's out.

Bob McGelligot said he was most likely a scratch in his CBJ in 30 podcast since Hartnell wasn't on a line in practice.

Thanks. Interesting that there's nothing else out there about it. I'd be inclined to think it was a maintenance day, but I also expect many players to get at least 1 day off over the rest of the season, so maybe this is the start of that.

Looking for that post outlining how Crosby has done in recent games vs the Jackets. He's like a minus 5? Anyone help me out?

CBJ are only team with under 200 power play opportunities, at just 192. We apparently always face teams who are on their best behavior against us.

Get bent, NHL.

Sure is rusty PP. That 7 minutes vs Toronto was about the most painful to watch 7 minutes they've played all season.

CBJ goalies are white hot right now - we've all seen Bob's crazy stats for this month, but I just saw Portzline's tweet about Anton Forsberg: AHL player of the week, went 3-0 with a .67 GAA and .982 save percentage.

Absolutely bizarre how he's elite at the AHL level but can't manage a backup job at the NHL level. If that turns out to be his career going forward, it'll be the first time I've seen that with a goalie.

Jeremy Smith? I think injuries threw him off but he was a pretty beastly AHL goalie and now just finally getting NHL games and not doing great but to be fair its with Colorado. I was excited when Columbus signed him but it didnt last long

He's still young, may need some more time to season.
Or, he could be one of those players that just can't make that jump to the NHL.
