There is no roster overage after the TDL. As you can only have 4 call-ups during this period, they're going to have all of them up (salary be damned) to avoid burning those call-ups.

No roster limits after the trade deadline.

Oh wow I remember how crowded it was in MLSQ. But that was just good celebrations, the crowds weren't too stupid. It emptied pretty fast after the losses too.

Did not know that. That explains a lot. Honestly, the Leafs don't need more veterans taking up spots, especially since our center position is a strong point now (with O'Reilly, Greening, Gauthier, Kalinin, Laich and plus depth), but I just thought the Leafs were breaking the rules or something.

Thanks

For the life of me I cannot understand how Polak is in over others. He's good on the PK but his 5 on 5 play is atrocious. The most careless player with the puck on the team.

Reilly(66GV) and Zaitsev, (50GV), along with the king of GV Gardiner, at (69GV) have more GV than Polak, (44GV).Yes, Polak plays less minutes ,but most of the D corp are all around the same.

Polak, also has 210 hits, 2nd to only Matt Martin, at 260 hits.
He is also ranked 2nd on the team for blocked shots at 110 BS.

They all have their faults, but Polak is the least of our problems right now.He has size and grit, something that is sorely lacking on the back end.

Outside of a few brain farts on icing calls I've thought Polak has been pretty solid lately. Really like his physicality, we need it.

Players got to know that if you're going into a corner with Polak, you're going to get roughed up.

He's been good at his job.

If Polak never touched the puck he would be a great D-man. He's physical, plays his man well...it's when he tries to get the puck out or move the puck. ....anything to do with puck and he starts driving people crazy.

Kadri and Bozak lines will be crucial tonight. Boston's top line is one of the best in the league and so Kadri is going to have a huge responsibility tonight trying to keep them off the scoreboard. Assuming the Matthews line draws the top pair from Boston, the Bozie line should have an opportunity to put points up against some easier competition. They can't stop our balanced attack, so if our forward depth and speed shines through I like our chances.

We need one of the big 3 to take over tonight. They're rooks, but this team lives and dies by them.

I predict that the Leafs will win or lose and earn 0,1, or 2 points.
