Paul Gardner

Had a short career 10 years or so but produced in the NHL at a point per game. I heard he was an atrocious skater but can anyone who seen him play comment on his obvious skill set?

A PP specialist on weak teams. More PP goals than ES:

There was a game between the Jets and the Penguins with Paul Gardner in 1982 when he was involved in a couple cheap shots.

I remember the game because I there.

Notorious. That incident was the highlight of Jimmy Mann's career.

On topic: Gardner was kind of nifty and had a soft shot. Close in wristers.

Yeah, I remember Gardner. Phenom as a kid through elite amateur. Scoring machine. Scored 84+ goals in like 40 odd games playing Jr.B, then had a 69 goal season in Oshawa playing for the Generals. Definitely an outlier. Not much of a skater, mostly a crease sitter.... Son of Cal Gardner.

I always thought he was very similar to Mike Bullard
