a team just invested 45million dollars to an unknown. try again.
No they didn't. Glennon's contract doesn't have anywhere close to that money guaranteed.
Gonna be 30 midway through next season.
Jay Cutler is also still a free agent. So is Ryan Fitzpatrick. And Josh McCown. And RG3, Case Keenum, Blaine Gabbert, Mark Sanchez, etc. Teams just aren't moving quickly on giving these mediocre/washed up QBs a shot.
i don't think he's very good but i also think his protest is a factor here.
his abilities don't outweigh his protest in the eyes of NFL executives. more negatives than positives.
Fair point. I believe it's had an impact but not a big one. Nowhere near the impact his poor play the past 2 seasons has. That's really what I was trying to say.
It's just that beyond the fact he's a well below average starting QB, he's also got some baggage. I don't think team's are willing to bring him on with the chance of being the starter. So if you're looking for a QB to step in as the backup and nothing more, there are a lot of safer options than Kap. So I guess in that sense then yes, maybe his protest has hurt him. But again I think it's just more so that nobody feels he's a good fit given his skillset and the direction his career has taken the past 2 years.

I think we need to acknowledge that maybe the reason Kap hasn't been signed yet is because he's not very good. Not because of his 'protest'.
It certainly didn't help.

What are you reaping today?
Good for him using his fame to get people to donate. Mind you this si the same guy who wore socks that showed cops as pigs. And disrespected servicemen by sitting then kneeling for the anthem. And oh wait he wanted things to change -- didn't even vote.

I don't think the Texans need to outbid Denver by that much to get him. Houston is in a weak division with a top defence that was missing arguably the leagues best player, plus their offence has some potential. And he wouldn't be too far from his young family.

Flavour of the month. Should have seen this coming.

He could sign as a backup unless he is being stubborn and only wants to start (wouldn't make sense since he's sat for most of the last two seasons). If EJ Manuel and Geno Smith can get backup jobs, why not him.
it takes two to tango...I'm sure Kaep has had offers that he's turned down this offseason. If he's willing to accept "the right price" I am sure there would be many teams that would sign him.
Denver was willing to give him a shot last year, but Colin thought he was worth more than the Broncos did. Just because the dude wants to play for $14M rather than $10, I certainly don't feel sorry for him.
