It is true that Yashin is rich and even some kind of lazy(he could me much better player if he had bigger warrior heart) but i agree he is a patriot and always come to play for Russia and i mean always!!

TO him ,Tihonov, and new generation of russian players who i hope will always come to play and fought for Russia 100% ...I ADMIRE U

I wouldn't say I enjoyed his patrioitsim at Salt Lake, but he is a hek of a player when he's in the mood. Afinogenov didn't have a bad season, in the first half he was on the 4th line, but when Ruff gave him more ice time, he responded velikolepno.

Where is the connection between Yashins game in Salt Lake and his patriotism?

to play on the 4th line half of a season, is not bad?
I know he is no 4th line player, that's why it was a terrible season for Maxim.

If you are a patriot, play like one. Yashin didn't do so at Salt Lake. Maybe he just had a bad tournament..I don't know.

As for Afinogenov, I saw habs 6 games against Buffalo this year, and I was impressed with his play. I was really wondering why he was held to such low ice time.

Maybe because Afinogenov was recovering from his concussion? Or because he's small and soft..
