OT: Junior de Montreal

Who's going to go watch a Junior de Montreal game next season?

I think the name of the team is appropriate.. I also like the Maroon and White as the chosen colors of the new uniforms.

Not sure they will sell a lot of season tickets. Did you see the cost on their website? 1575$ per year (45$ per game) in the Prestige zone, 525$ per year (15$ per game) in the Classic zone, which is behind the nets and on the top rows. I wonder how much they will sell the tickets for a single game. And hopefully they will have a student rebate. I pay 7$ for the Remparts and the parking is free.

Same here for the sags price range is 7-10$ at max...I guess they thinks people in MTL are willing to pay more then others because I'm not sure many teams in the Q have that price range.

as for the name I think its ugly and not original... juniors... wow, they must have brainstormed for hours before finding that!
IMO they should have picked a name that has a link with the city, such as rempart, foreurs etc...

$7 in Quebec? Wow, the cheapest seats in Verdun are $15. I agree that $1575 is a little steep for LHJMQ games.. How much are season tickets for Habs games in the VIP section?

I think I will do like one poster and go on nights where the Habs don't play and try and get $25 tickets..

The name Junior has been used a few times in the past for LHJMQ teams in Montreal. They decided to go vintage...

My thoughts:

WAYYYYYYY overpriced. Nobody will pay over 15$ to 45$ a game to watch a game at the crappy old Verdun Auditorium.

The name is 'meh'. The jerseys are 'meh'. The lack of logo is 'meh'.

They'll fold within two years.

I agree with everything you're saying. I'm sticking with what I said when the team was announced: this team won't last long.

Junior?!

Wow, it's the worst sport team name I've ever saw.

But I do hope people will go tho see them play. MTL deserves their LHJMQ team.

I like it.

It's just sad that the colors are the same as the Remparts.

I remember going to see the Rockets, thrid row center, for like 12$! At the Bell Centre. And they still folded.

Their prices are crazy!

I hope there is gonna be a lot of fighting. I remember when I went to Rocket games there would be fights almost all the time. That Matt Boland guy is huge for a 18 year old, 6'4 220. If he makes some noise maybe we will finally get a goon with the team.

I remember I used to love the fights at the Rockets game, they had one psycho guy... Beausoleil I think his name was. last I heard he was on the LNAH

EDIT: Benoit Beausoleil

Is this QMJHL team? In Brandon adult ST's are $250 ($7/game), students/kids ST's $125 or $3.50/game.
A walk up adult ticket is $14 I believe.

Was there not a deal when Torontos AHL team moved to Toronto then St Johns got a jr team? it already folded?

On rds they said the "montreal junior" will try to get the right from val dor of louis leblanc...and like i said in another thread i wouldnt be surprised that they found a way to get leblanc linemate in lac st-louis, yasin cisse at the draft (they have 2first rd pick at the draft)
