with Bourque being signed, only Matt Bradley and Jeremiah Addison need to be signed by the June 1st deadline. They need to sign Magnus Nygren before the June 30th deadline and Colin Sullivan before the August 15th deadline.

Should there be an update for Victor Mete?

Hello Habs fans! I was hoping you could help me out with something, and this thread seems the most fitting.

I'm doing some adjustments on the rosters for my NHL 17 game. I'm currently fixing the Canadiens team, but I have trouble narrowing down the roster to 23 players.

I currently have these 24:

Forwards: Plekanec, Galchenyuk, Mitchell, Danault, Pacioretty, Radulov, Gallagher, Shaw, Martinsen, Byron, King, Ott, Flynn, Lehkonen
Defensemen: Weber, Markov, Petry, Emelin, Beaulieu, Davidson, Benn, Nesterov
Goalies: Price, Montoya

Now I wonder ...

a) Who would be the most likely candidate to be sent to the minors?

b) How should I put together the lines and pairings to best reflect a healthy Habs lineup?

Thanks in advance!

Julien is rotating these 4 forwards right now (Martinsen, Ott, Flynn and King). So one of them. My guess is Flynn is out again with injury (puck to the face) and will most likely never play again for the Habs. Even without injury, I don't see a spot for him.

I see. Judging by dailyfaceoff, my best guess at a healthy lineup is this:

Pacioretty - Danault - Radulov
Galchenyuk - Shaw - Lehkonen
Byron - Plekanec - Gallagher
King - Mitchell - Martinsen

Markov - Weber
Emelin - Petry
Beauileu - Benn

Scratches: Ott, Nesterov, Davidson

I know line combinations tend to change on a daily basis. But would this be a fair reflection of a healthy Habs lineup? Does Mitchell play center if Ott is in the press box? And I noticed Galchenyuk took a lot of faceoffs this season, and Shaw not so many.

Yes.

Galchenyuk is not being used as center that much since Julien is here. I guess he prefers Shaw for the faceoffs. Mitchell, Ott and McCarron are rotating these days in the lineup.
