Slightly OT:CBC reaches six-year deal contract with broadcaster Jim Hughson

CBC Sports has announced that a six-year contract agreement with broadcaster Jim Hughson on Tuesday.

Excellent and wise management decision to maintain Hughson by CBC.

He said he'd only be doing CBC or Canucks not both, so bye bye Canucks - hopefully John Garrett goes bye bye with him

Canucks worshipper actually but I can overlook that since he's the best in the business.

He's great but I still think Cole is the top play-by-play...even if he's an homer. I think Cole should be Canada's voice, the official national play-by-play guy. The problem is that it's always the Leafs on CBC Saturdays. If they would switch teams every Saturdays but keep Cole, that would be ideal.

I much prefer Hughson.

..I hope he gets assigned our series in the playoffs

If he gets first choice, i guarentee you he picks Mtl. even though he does Vancouver all year long he was on team 990 with Mitch Melnick and he said his favorite place to do games is Montreal, the crowd just gets him into it.

Hughson is the best in hockey. No question.

Though, as much as I hate McGuire, I love listening to him (He is colour though).
