What could Carbo have done exactly about that? It was a road game.
Perhaps not put them out there for 14 faceoffs? Or put them out after Pahlsson had just come off?
Not much, mind you, but that every one of Grabovsky's faceoffs were against Pahlsson tells me that either the matchup wasn't really considered, or Anaheim was sending out Pahlsson regardless of whether he just spent a minute on the ice or not.
Higgins Knew ? You presume to know what this man knows ? I'm not usre you're qualified to speak in absolutes.
In terms of imtelligence, from all I've read, listened to and observed, Higgins is a bright, respectful straight ahead guy. He's exactly the type of person that teams should be built around. He takes his role and his responsibilities on the team seriously, probably to a fault.
I agree with Pierre McGuire's comments in that Higgins has taken his role with the team too literally this year and at times should defer to others in terms of comments. He's still defining his game and while it's admirable that he doesn't run away when asked a question, he doesn't need to always be the guy.
Higgins shows up and plays a strong game, he's on pace for about 50 points, not staggering but respectable.
The irony of you questionning his intelligence is kind of amusing though.
Whoa there big fella... You gotta let this one slide. No need to hurt anybody tonight.
