Last season, 65 offending NHLers combined to forfeit more than $2.7 million due to reckless plays and off-ice decisions.
NHLís Supplementary Discipline Total suspensions: 25 Total fines: 10 Total man-games lost: 76 (includes 8 pre-season, 1 playoff game) Total player salary lost: $970,418.53
Less than $1m in suspension "proceeds" to date this season.

Interesting, I hadn't paid much attention to the suspension #'s this year. Really don't think the play was any cleaner though.
